Warmth for 1000 – discounted or free wall and loft insulation will save you money!

Warmth for 1000 is offering government grants to provide discounted or free wall or loft insulation.

Insulated homes are warmer, more comfortable, more energy efficient and can reduce your heating bills.

Around half of all heat loss in a typical home is through the walls and loft. If your home doesn’t have effective wall or loft insulation, you could be wasting more than £225 every year.

If everyone installed cavity wall insulation, we'd cut CO2 emissions by nearly 4 million tonnes, enough to fill nearly 790,000 hot air balloons.

If every home could have 270mm loft insulation, we'd save nearly 3 million tonnes of CO2, the same as the annual emissions of over 540,000 homes.
